Macedonia wins unbeaten Ice Hockey Development Cup 2018

The Macedonian national ice hockey team has won this year's edition of the Development Cup 2018 in Füssen in the Allgäu region at their first official appearance at this tournament.

Sensational five wins from five games are achieved by our national team, in the final game the Macedonian Phalanx was victorious over the favorite Portugal with 9:3.

In this final game, a small but frenetic Macedonian crowd supported our team, and from the beginning there was no doubt that Macedonia wanted to get the title in Germany.

The MVP of the tournament was found in the ranks of the Macedonians - the Slovenian import player Jure Stopar (jersey number 17) with 27 points, including 19 goals in five games. An important support in the replacement-weakened team was also the resident of Germany, defender Andrej Vasilev (jersey number 8). He helped the team to the title with 2 goals and 7 assists and with some worthseeing hard hitting body checks.
